I got my remote wet and now it isn't working. Does it need to be replaced?
Most likely yes. It depends on how long the remote was wet for. Sometimes, if you can take your remote apart quickly and dry out all of it's the components, (you can try using a blow-dryer) you may be able to save it. Otherwise, call our company to get a replacement remote.
Should both cables be replaced even if only one is broken?
Yes, it is recommended that both cables are replaced to make sure that both sides have the same length. Having cables that do not have the same length could cause the door to become imbalanced, therefore affecting the quality of operation and its safety.
Is a lock needed in a garage door?
If you have a manual garage door, then a lock is needed to keep your garage door secured. This usually does not come with the door so it may require a separate purchase. However, if you have an automatic garage door, there’s no need for a lock as the door opener would only open the door with the right remote or combination on the keypad.
